I learnt Zen Counseling from Sensei Kenichi Ishimaru in 2019. I was quite impressed with the effectiveness of this technique despite its outright simplicity. Since then I have supported many clients, colleagues and acquaintances to solve their problems using this technique. I have also organized several training programs for those interested in becoming a Professional Zen Counselor.
After giving 25+ years in the industry, I have now turned my focus towards my passion and started Big Picture Zen – Center for Self-Inquiry and Awakening. I am passionate about helping others in their personal growth using the principles of Zen.
By education, I am a mechanical engineer and MBA from IIM Bangalore, but I have also been a seeker of truth ever since my teens.
Learning Zen Counseling was a life changing experience for me. Just watching the problems unfold and get solved without doing anything is quite a miracle. By seeing the client as a Buddha, you allow his inner Buddha to appear and solve his own problem.
